Tickets: £17.50

Arthur Smith has become one of comedy's elder statesmen. He has long been a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe with shows including Arthur Smith Sings Leonard Cohen, and Arthur Smith's Last Hangover both of which have been broadcast on Radio 4. He is a frequent guest on Excess Baggage and Loose Ends and has also presented the long-running Smith Lectures on Radio 2, linking together clips from other comedians. Perhaps now best known as one of TV's Grumpy Old Men he is also a writer and his best known work is An Evening with Gary Lineker a play about the World Cup. Before joining the comedy circuit, the Bermondsey-born stand-up worked as a warehouseman and teacher, and studied at the University of East Anglia, where he took the accclaimed creative writing course run by Malcolm Bradbury. Arthur will be setting the world to rights and taking questions from the audience.
